Mrs. Mallorie Misson

My name is Mallorie Misson and I am a middle school English teacher, wife to my husband, Logan, and proud mom to our two beautiful children, Gracie and Graham. Gas City is home, where we are raising our family and seeking to serve the Lord in every season of life.

I bring over 15 years of dance experience, along with a heart for teaching, discipleship, and encouraging others to discover the gifts God has placed within them. Dance has always been much more than movement to me—it has been one of the most personal ways I have encountered the presence of God.

Growing up in Grant County, in between 2 Christian college towns, was difficult in many ways. Surrounded by what often felt like a Bible Belt, faith sometimes seemed more like an expectation than a relationship. Everything changed when I encountered Jesus for myself at 19 years old. That personal relationship transformed my life and ignited a passion to both disciple others and continually be discipled myself. While my journey has been far from perfect, God’s faithfulness has remained constant through every chapter.

Ironically, my story began with Mrs. RaChelle, my very first dance teacher. As a shy little girl who rarely left my mother’s side, I found myself clinging instead to Mrs. RaChelle during my first year of dance. Through her kindness, patience, and encouragement, she gave me the confidence to step outside of my comfort zone and into the gifts God had placed inside of me. What began as timid first steps quickly became a shining presence on stage, and a lifelong love for dance.

Some of my sweetest memories are of having an empty dance studio to myself, worshipping through movement and feeling as though I was dancing with Jesus. Those moments cultivated not only my technique but also my understanding that dance could be an act of worship.

After the passing of my beloved mentor and dance teacher in 2011, I continued dancing for a few more years before retiring my dance shoes at 17, believing the Lord was leading me into a different season. During that time, I achieved the title “All-American Cheerleader” and had the opportunity to compete at the National High School Cheerleading Championship at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. Later, I returned to dance while attending college before beginning my career as a middle school English teacher in 2019.

Although I loved teaching in the classroom, the desire to minister through dance never completely left my heart. In 2026, I felt the Lord gently whisper, “Dig out your dancing shoes.” It wasn’t simply an invitation to dance again—it was an invitation to return to a gift He had never stopped calling me to use.
